GIT is an open source technology that is being used to solve complex issues plaguing online course content management. Github.com, based on GIT technology, helps programmers collaborate and share code. At Penn State, educators from the arts and sciences are using GIT to create, store, share, and transport digital content where it needs to go. This technology has profound implications for Open Educational Resources (OER) authoring, sharing, and remixing. Three faculty in different colleges will discuss their experiences with GIT, take questions, and encourage audience input to explore other potential uses in higher ed.
